How I Stay Motivated to Write As a New Lifestyle Blogger

“It does not matter how slow you go, as long as you don’t stop”-Confuscious

When you join the world of blogging, you can sometimes feel like a small fish in a big pond as you are just getting your feet wet.  For the last few years, I have been dabbling in product reviews, mainly reviewing various types of subscription boxes on my site  Within the last year year or so however, I embarked on a personal development journey and decided to use that as my inspiration to write about wellness and personal development for millennials.  This lasted for a few posts before I completely ran out of ideas!  Not only did I run out of ideas quickly, I also felt a huge nudge in my side that personal develpment blogging just wasn’t for me.

While I am a huge proponent for personal development, I just didn’t feel authentic writing about it.  Instead, I decided to refocus my blog on lifestyle, as I feel that I cannot be contained in just one niche.  Don’t get me wrong, I feel that in the future I would love to have a second blog that is of a particular niche.  In fact, since writing and blogging come naturally to me I would love to start a blog helping other women with the process of blogging to help their businesses grow.

My new direction as a lifestyle blogger feels natural to me and I find my motivation creeping at me in a number of ways.

By envisioning where I want my blog to goOne day I would love to make blogging my full time career.  I use inspiration from other bloggers currently doing just that!  In my spare time I research blogs, watch YouTube videos and watch courses on how to blog and be the best blogger that I can be, all in hopes of one day creating a blog that is meaningful to my readers and beneficial financially to me as well.

By enjoying the process- I have always loved writing and it comes second nature to me at this point in my life.  What keeps me going also is having a creative outlet to express my thoughts and opinions on life and all that it has to offer.  Furthermore, I enjoy helping other readers with lifestyle tips, tricks, and suggestions for great books, etc.

By relying on Pinterest for ideas (sometimes!)Often times a post will just come to me and I get excited to write about it.  However, there are times where your girl needs a little inspiration.  When this occurs, I visit Pinterest to scope out a few lifestyle ideas to bring to you all.

By looking forward to collaborating with other bloggers-I am super excited about working with other bloggers.  There are so many creative lifestyle bloggers on the web that I would love to work with.  Even ones who are just starting out!  I look forward as I expand my blog, to getting to know some of these writers and collaborate on guest posts.  If you are interested in doing a guest post on my blog please contact me using the e-mail from my contact page!
